KISSIMMEE, FL — On Saturday, December 13, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Osceola County Fire Rescue responded to a residence off Nice Court in Kissimmee for reports of an unresponsive 20-month-old girl who appeared to have drowned in a hot tub.

The property was listed as an Airbnb rental, and a family from Washington, D.C., was staying there. The toddler, born April 11, 2024, was transported to AdventHealth Celebration hospital, where she was pronounced deceased shortly after 4:30 a.m.

Detectives investigated the incident at the scene. The father, Reynard Tyrone Hough, 33, born June 2, 1992, from Washington, D.C., stated he had taken his daughter into the hot tub and fell asleep while holding her. He reported waking to find her unresponsive in his arms.

Authorities determined Hough was neglectful in the incident. He was arrested on December 13, 2025, and charged with child neglect causing great bodily harm. On December 14, 2025, an additional charge of aggravated manslaughter of a child was filed.

Hough remains in custody at the Osceola County Jail. The death investigation is ongoing. Nothing further at this time.
