On July 12, 2025, at approximately 7:51 PM, a tragic accident occurred at a private residence near the intersection of Orange Blvd and Terra Bona Court in Seminole County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 2014 Nissan NV Van, driven by a 57-year-old male from Sanford, Florida, was stopped in a private residential driveway. The driver began reversing and failed to observe an 8-year-old male pedestrian from Sanford, Florida, behind the vehicle. The rear of the vehicle struck the pedestrian.
The driver subsequently self-transported the pedestrian to AdventHealth Lake Mary Hospital, where the pedestrian was pronounced deceased. The crash remains under investigation. We will provide an update when one is made available.
