Tampa, FL – WWE has announced that Backlash, a Premium Live Event, will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Benchmark International Arena in Tampa. The event is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
The announcement was made by WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque. Backlash will be the first Premium Live Event following WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas and will feature the fallout from the year’s biggest event.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. via Ticketmaster.
An exclusive presale is available starting Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., using the code WWETIX.
Backlash Priority Passes will soon be available through On Location, WWE’s Official Fan Hospitality Partner. The Tampa Bay area has a long history of hosting WWE events, including the most recent Royal Rumble in 2024 at Tropicana Field.
