The agreement makes WXPX-TV (Channel 66), branded as “The Spot – Tampa Bay 66,” the official broadcast home for all locally produced Lightning games, including preseason, regular season, and first-round playoff matches not exclusive to national broadcasts. The station launches July 1, 2025, offering news, entertainment, and Lightning hockey.

Fans can also stream games via the Lightning app, powered by ViewLift, with more details to come. Scripps Sports will produce broadcasts, retaining the familiar team of Dave Randorf, Brian Engblom, and Gabby Shirley. The partnership aims to expand access across cable, satellite, over-the-air, and streaming platforms, ensuring fans can follow the Bolts at home or on the go.

“This deal delivers on fans’ desire for easier access to Lightning hockey,” said Vinik Sports Group CEO Steve Griggs. Scripps Sports President Brian Lawlor added, “We’re thrilled to bring Bolts games to one of the NHL’s most loyal fan bases.”
