Maitland, FL — On Friday, June 27, 2025, Maitland police arrested 21-year-old Mahlyk Poole, a counselor at Discover After School, for alleged lewd or lascivious molestation of a child under 12 years old at the summer camp held at Dommerich Elementary School, a facility rented from Orange County Public Schools.
The arrest followed a report by the victim’s parents on Wednesday, regarding inappropriate contact with the child. The Florida Department of Children and Families and Orange County Public Schools are also investigating.
