Structure Fire Contained in Mallard Creek Subdivision in Kissimmee

Kissimmee, FL – On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, The City of Kissimmee Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire in the Mallard Creek subdivision. The call was received at approximately 2:04 p.m.

Upon arrival, crews found heavy fire involving the garage of a residence, with extension to a nearby vehicle. Firefighters encountered smoke coming from the garage, with fire spreading to both the first and second floors of the home, compromising the structural stability of the residence.

Firefighters worked diligently to extinguish and contain the fire, which is now under control. The residents had self-evacuated prior to the arrival of fire crews. No injuries were reported.

“Our crews acted quickly to contain the fire and prevent further damage to items in the home and surrounding area,” said Battalion Chief Ryan Appleman of the Kissimmee Fire Department. “We appreciate the support from our partner agencies and are thankful everyone made it out safely.”

Additional crews from Osceola County Fire Rescue provided assistance on-scene, and the Kissimmee Police Department assisted with traffic control due to road closures. All roads are open at this time.

The State Fire Marshal has been contacted and will conduct an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
