ST. PETERSBURG, FL – January 28, 2026 –Diana Elizabeth Cullom (DOB 3-20-1982) was released from the hospital overnight and charged with first-degree murder in the death of her 4-year-old son, Finley Cullom (DOB 11/12/21).
The medical examiner determined that the child had no stab wounds and had been suffocated. Diana Cullom had self-inflicted stab wounds.
On January 27, 2026, at approximately 3:30 p.m., patrol officers responded to 1760 Tanglewood Dr. NE following a report of a person bleeding.
Upon arrival, officers located a 16-year-old girl who stated that upon returning home from school, she found her mother holding her 4-year-old brother in a bed. Blood was present at the scene and throughout the house.
The mother was transported to Bayfront Hospital for treatment of multiple lacerations. Her injuries were not life-threatening.
The investigation remains active, and the scene continues to be processed as of this morning. Nothing further at this time.
