Polk State College Announces Three Spring 2026 Open House Events Across Campuses

Polk State College is inviting prospective students, families, and community members to explore its educational opportunities through a series of open house events scheduled across its locations during the Spring 2026 semester.

The college, a multi-campus institution in Polk County, Florida, established in 1964, serves more than 14,000 students annually with a range of programs including Bachelor of Applied Science, Bachelor of Science, Associate in Arts, Associate in Science degrees, as well as certificate and workforce training options. It also operates three charter high schools. Key advantages include small class sizes, hands-on learning, dedicated faculty, flexible scheduling (day, night, and online classes), affordable tuition, robust financial aid, and a vibrant student life featuring fine arts, clubs, and intercollegiate athletics.

  • March 24, 2026 — Lakeland Campus, 3425 Winter Lake Road, Lakeland, in the Lakeland Technology Building (LTB) 1100.
  • March 26, 2026 — JD Alexander Center, 152 E. Central Ave., Lake Wales, in JDA 101.
  • April 1, 2026 — Winter Haven Campus, 999 Ave. H N.E., in the Health Center Gymnasium (WHC Gym).

These events come at a timely moment, as open enrollment for the Summer 2026 semester begins on April 6, with classes starting May 11. The college also plans to host similar open houses at each location during the fall semester.

For currently enrolled students, class registration is available through the Polk Portal. Prospective students can submit a free online application via the college’s website. Dual enrollment students should coordinate with their high school advisors and contact deregistration@polk.edu for support.
