Minivan Collides with Semi-Truck in Bartow, FL – One Adult Trauma Alert Transported
Bartow, FL – March 13, 2025 – A minivan collided with a semi-truck on State Road 60 this morning. According to the Polk County Fire Rescue Public Information Officer, Polk County Fire Rescue units, including Battalion 6 (BC006), Ladder 15 (LD015), Medic Rescue 15 (MR015), Tender 15 (TE015), and Training 1 (TR011), were dispatched at 7:52 a.m. and arrived on the scene by 7:56 a.m.
One adult was transported as a trauma alert due to the severity of their injuries. Crews worked quickly, applying water to the fire by 8:00 a.m. and controlling the situation by 8:04 a.m. The driver of the minivan was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Lanes in both directions were temporarily closed but have since reopened.
