Lakeland, FL – April 6, 2025 – A significant police presence was observed near mile marker 33 on Interstate 4. Deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Highway Patrol, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle suspected of involvement in a robbery at another location, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
Multiple agencies were observed holding the vehicle at gunpoint following a chase led by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. The HCSO is leading the investigation. Nothing further at this time.
