Plant City Man, 29, Killed in Motorcycle Crash on County Line Road

LAKELAND, FL – A 29-year-old motorcyclist from Plant City was killed in a crash on Saturday night, March 7, 2026.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene at County Line Road and Gateway Boulevard, west of Lakeland, around 8:40 p.m. The incident was initially reported as a crash involving a pedestrian.

Upon arrival, first responders found the victim deceased. He was identified as Justin Lane Fuller, 29, of Plant City.

Investigation determined that Fuller was operating a burgundy 2008 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. No evidence indicated the motorcycle was struck by another vehicle.

Preliminary findings show the motorcycle was traveling north on County Line Road when it went down for undetermined reasons, ejecting Fuller. He tumbled approximately 75 feet and came to rest in the southbound lane, where he was struck by two vehicles.

The drivers of both vehicles remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

A motorcycle helmet was located near Fuller, but it is unknown whether he was wearing it during the crash.

County Line Road was closed in both directions for about four hours for evidence collection, scene processing, and investigation due to debris and the extent of the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
