TAMPA, FL — A 23-year-old man from Plant City died early Saturday morning following a single-vehicle crash on westbound Interstate 4, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred near the 7 milepost shortly before 1:40 a.m. on March 8, 2026.
The Hyundai Elantra N-Line sedan was traveling westbound at high speed when the driver failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle entered the median and struck a guardrail before continuing and colliding with a bridge support for the US-92 overpass.
The driver was transported to an area hospital, where he later succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. No additional details were released.
