Lakeland, FL – June 20, 2025 – The Florida Department of Transportation announced lane closures for the US 98 Widening Project from West Socrum Loop Road to CR 54.
- US 98 (West Socrum Loop Rd. to CR 54): Periodic lane closures/flagging, up to half-mile sections, June 23-27, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- US 98 (north of Lakeland Acres Rd. to south of Old Dade City Rd.): Lane closures/flagging, June 26, 8 p.m. to June 27, 7 a.m.
Motorists should expect delays, drive cautiously in the 45 MPH work zone where fines are doubled, and consider alternate routes.
