Osceola County Commissioner Hosted Second Annual Holiday Food Distribution for 600 Families

Osceola County, FL – District 3 Commissioner and Vice Chair Brandon Arrington held the second annual Holiday Food Distribution event at St. Rose of Lima Church in Kissimmee. Partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, the drive-thru event provided 600 meal packages to local families.

The event began at 10:00 a.m., with families lining up along Pleasant Hill Road hours prior. Each package contained meat, fresh produce, canned goods, and holiday staples. No identification was required, and one package was distributed per vehicle.

Volunteers, including students from New Horizons High School and local organizations, assisted Second Harvest Food Bank staff in managing the distribution.

Commissioner Arrington’s next event, Winter Fest, is scheduled for December 19 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Valencia College Poinciana Campus, featuring toy distributions, including digital tablets, and festive activities.
