Orlando Police Release Body Camera Footage of Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting
Orlando, FL – The Orlando Police Department has released body camera video following a fatal officer-involved shooting on May 1, 2025, at an apartment complex parking lot located at 4620 Cason Cove Drive.
The incident began at approximately 5:47 p.m. when OPD received multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting a man brandishing a gun at a 7-Eleven store in the 4500 block of Conroy Road. Callers reported the suspect pointing the weapon at an individual, and surveillance footage from a nearby dry cleaners confirmed he was holding a gun.

Officers responded to the scene and located the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Orlin Manuel Bueso Calderon, in the apartment complex parking lot. Police issued repeated commands in English and Spanish for Calderon to drop the weapon. When he failed to comply, officers opened fire, and Calderon was fatally wounded. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators recovered a simulated firearm in Calderon’s possession. Further investigation revealed Calderon had a criminal history, including charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer with a deadly weapon, possession of cocaine, and various drug and traffic offenses.

The officers involved have been placed on administrative leave, per standard protocol. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is conducting an independent review of the incident, and the findings will be submitted to the State Attorney’s Office for further evaluation.
