No Cash Accepted at Polk County Campgrounds: Change Takes Effect March 1

The Polk County Parks and Natural Resources Division has announced that cash payments will no longer be accepted at its maintained campgrounds effective March 1, 2026.

Campers reserving and paying for sites in person may still use credit cards, checks, or money orders. Advance reservations and payments remain available online through the county’s parks website.

The affected campgrounds operated and maintained by the division are:

• Coleman Landing at Shady Oaks Recreation Area, 1450 Shady Oak Drive, Lake Wales, FL 33898
• Lake Arbuckle Park, 2600 Lake Arbuckle Road, Frostproof, FL 33843
• Lake Rosalie Park, 2925 Rosalie Lake Road, Lake Wales, FL 33898
• Port Hatchineha Park, 15050 Lake Hatchineha Road, Haines City, FL 33844
• Saddle Creek Park, 3716 Morgan Combee Road, Lakeland, FL 33801
