Newborn Found in Car Seat in Orlando Driveway: OPD

Orlando, FL – On July 28, 2025, at approximately 7:20 a.m., the Orlando Police Department began investigating the discovery of a one-week-old baby boy in the 5500 block of Lido Street. The infant was found in a car seat in the driveway of a residence and is currently being treated at a local hospital, where he is reported to be in good health.

The Orlando Police Department is seeking information from the community to assist in identifying and locating the parent(s) or guardian(s) of the child. The department reminds parents and caregivers that the Safe Haven Law provides a safe, legal, and anonymous option for surrendering newborns.

Designated locations include hospitals, staffed fire rescue stations, and staffed emergency medical service stations, with no questions asked and no fear of prosecution.
