Bradenton, FL — On September 7, 2025, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence in the 400 block of 60th Avenue Drive East in Bradenton following reports of a stabbing. Deputies found two men injured: a 40-year-old with multiple stab wounds and a 39-year-old with a head laceration.
Both individuals were transported to separate hospitals for treatment. The 40-year-old victim was pronounced deceased at Blake Hospital at approximately 7:15 a.m. His identity is withheld pending family notification. The 39-year-old, identified as Jean Addition, was treated for his injury.


Witnesses reported the incident stemmed from an argument between the two men, during which Addition allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times. Following interviews and evidence collection, detectives arrested Addition and charged him with murder. He was booked into the Manatee County Jail.
The motive for the altercation is unclear, and the investigation remains ongoing.
