Lakeland Man Arrested Three Days After Ankle Monitor was Placed; Multiple Burglaries, Including Firearm Theft

On August 1, 2025, at 09:47 AM, Amarie Harrison, an 18-year-old male, was arrested at 2609 Everleth Drive, Lakeland, Florida, following the execution of a search warrant. Harrison was linked to a series of conveyance burglaries investigated by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation began with a trend of burglaries reported between July 27 and July 28, 2025, involving multiple incidents of unauthorized entry into vehicles. Reports included cases where center consoles were opened, wallets and firearms were stolen, and vehicles were damaged. Surveillance footage from the area identified a male juvenile on a bicycle, wearing distinctive gray and black jackets, as a suspect.

A search warrant was executed on August 1, 2025, at 08:50 AM at the residence. Evidence collected included three stolen firearms, identification cards, a black jacket, a gray jacket with a black V-shape design, black gloves, suspected cannabis, and drug paraphernalia. The jackets matched those seen in surveillance footage.

Harrison’s criminal history includes a felony probation for unarmed burglary since January 9, 2025, with a GPS monitor placed on July 29, 2025. The additional charges are expected to result in a probation violation. Based on the evidence, Harrison was charged with the following:

  • One Count of Grand Theft of a Firearm
  • One Count of Grand Theft
  • One Count of Attempted Burglary
  • One Count of Armed Burglary of a Conveyance
  • Four Counts of Burglary of an Unoccupied Conveyance
  • One Count of Possession of Cannabis
  • One Count of Drug Paraphernalia
  • One Count of Possession of Burglary Tools
  • One Count of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
  • One Count of Violation of Probation

He was transported to the Sheriff’s Processing Center without incident. Nothing further at this time.
