Lake Wales Man Arrested for DUI After Three-Vehicle Crash on Cypress Gardens Blvd

Robert Revelo (DOB: 10/19/1986)

Winter Haven, FL – On Friday, August 8, 2025, at approximately 6:14 PM, a three-vehicle accident occurred on the 5000 block of Cypress Gardens Blvd, Winter Haven, FL 33884, resulting in the arrest of Robert Revelo (DOB: 10/19/1986) for driving under the influence (DUI).

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Revelo was operating a blue Dodge truck when the collision occurred, leading to at least two individuals being transported to a local hospital. Details regarding the extent of injuries or the condition of other drivers were not disclosed.

Officers at the scene reported that Revelo exhibited signs of intoxication, including a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, watery eyes, and slow, slurred speech. Based on these observations and a field DUI test, officers determined that Revelo was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs to the extent that his normal faculties were impaired. Revelo made several spontaneous statements, admitting he was “fucked up alcohol-wise” and had consumed alcohol prior to the incident, according to the PCSO.

We spoke to witnesses on scene who shared accounts of the blue truck’s erratic behavior prior to the crash. One witness stated, “That blue truck was speeding down Cypress Gardens, cutting people off.” Another witness reported, “I saw the truck fishtailing and going about 100 mph on 540 (Cypress Gardens Blvd) around 6 PM.”

Following his arrest, Revelo was transported to the Sheriff’s Processing Center, where Officers noted a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the rear compartment of the patrol vehicle used to transport Revelo, which was not present prior to his transport. According to the PCSO, Revelo’s estimated breath alcohol content was approximately 0.153 g/210L.

Revelo was charged with:

– 316.193(1) – DUI Alcohol or Drugs (1 count, M1 level)

– 316.193(3) – DUI Damage Property (1 count, M1 level)

He was booked into custody without incident. The investigation remains ongoing, and further details regarding the crash or additional charges have not been released. Nothing further at this time.
