Lake Wales, Fla. (July 30, 2025) – Rashad Mullings, 23, was arrested following a shooting incident at Lake Wales Gardens apartments on July 29, 2025, at 11:30 p.m. Mullings allegedly fired three shots at a victim after an argument over online comments. He drove to the apartment complex, exited his vehicle, retrieved a firearm from the backdoor, and discharged it before fleeing. No injuries were reported.
On July 30, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m., officers spotted Mullings’ vehicle traveling eastbound on Dr. J.A. Wiltshire Avenue. A traffic stop was conducted, and Mullings was taken into custody without incident. Mullings, currently on probation for armed burglary, faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, discharge of a firearm in a residential area, unlawful use of a two-way communication device, and violation of probation.
