
In a story first reported by Sierra Rains at WFLA, four Lake Wales High School students and their chaperone were caught in an active shooter situation during a college tour at Florida State University on Thursday.
The group was quickly relocated to a secure area and safely evacuated by 3:30 p.m. Tallahassee police reported two people killed and six injured, with the suspected shooter hospitalized after being shot by officers.
Lake Wales High School Principal Anuj Saran expressed condolences to the FSU community. Nothing further at this time.
