Lake Wales, FL – At approximately 8:13 AM this morning (August 18, 2025), a vehicle struck a juvenile near the 2000 block of Mammoth Grove Rd, Lake Wales, while she presumably waited at a bus stop.
Polk County Sheriff’s Office and Polk County Fire Rescue responded to the incident. The juvenile was airlifted to a local hospital with no apparent serious injuries, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. The roadway was temporarily closed but has since reopened. The investigation is ongoing.
