TAMPA, FL — In a move aimed at boosting accessibility for busy residents, the Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s Office has released its full lineup of Saturday driver license services for 2026, offering convenient weekend hours to help students, families, and working professionals avoid weekday disruptions.
The program, which returns this year with multiple dates, allows eligible individuals to complete key driver licensing tasks without missing school or work. Services run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following Saturdays:
- February 21 — Plant City Office (4706 Sydney Rd., Plant City, FL 33563)
- March 21 — Brandon Office (3030 N. Falkenburg Rd., Tampa, FL 33619)
- April 18 — Brandon Office (3030 N. Falkenburg Rd., Tampa, FL 33619)
- May 16 — Brandon Office (3030 N. Falkenburg Rd., Tampa, FL 33619)
- August 15 — Brandon Office (3030 N. Falkenburg Rd., Tampa, FL 33619)
- September 19 — Brandon Office (3030 N. Falkenburg Rd., Tampa, FL 33619)
- October 17 — Brandon Office (3030 N. Falkenburg Rd., Tampa, FL 33619)
For high school and college students, the events provide an opportunity to take written knowledge tests, road tests, and obtain learner’s permits or driver licenses. Adults can handle standard driver license renewals. All services are limited to Hillsborough County residents and require meeting state eligibility criteria (notably, a recent statewide policy requires all Florida driver license exams to be administered in English only, effective February 6, 2026).
“Accessibility and convenience are at the heart of everything we do at the Tax Collector’s Office,” said Tax Collector Nancy Millan. “By offering Saturday License Services throughout the year, we’re ensuring that our community members—whether they’re busy students, working professionals, or families—have flexible options that fit their schedules. This is just one more way we’re working to serve Hillsborough County with excellence.”
Appointments are required and spots are limited—residents should act quickly. To schedule, call 813-635-5200, select option 5. Appointments cannot be booked online, and registration closes the Friday before each event at 5 p.m. (or earlier if slots fill up).
