Deland, FL – On Friday, October 3, 2025, Orange County firefighter Gabrielle Franze was arrested for allegedly throwing over 100 tampons into the yard of her ex-girlfriend, who is also an Orange County firefighter, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. She was charged with misdemeanor stalking.
Security footage and license plate data confirmed Franze’s involvement, showing a dark pickup truck matching her vehicle and an individual throwing tampons that appeared used and stained red. Franze initially denied being at the scene but later admitted her presence, stating it was not her idea. License plate readers confirmed her vehicle was nearby before the incident.
Franze, employed by Orange County Fire Rescue since November 2019, is on paid administrative leave pending a pre-determination hearing that will determine her future with the department. Nothing further at this time.
