Tampa, FL – On Tuesday May 13, 2025, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and 30+ industry partners will host a Road to Your Future transportation industry hiring event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Higgins
Hall in Tampa, Florida, located at 5225 N Himes Avenue.
This free event offers a valuable opportunity for job seekers to connect directly with organizations who are actively hiring for various roles across Florida’s robust transportation network.

Open positions range from entry-level to experienced professionals in various sectors of the transportation industry, including skilled trades, repair crewmen, traffic engineers, heavy equipment operators, administrative assistants, accountants, professional engineers, highway maintenance technicians, project managers, general laborers, foremen, interns and more.

Many of these open positions involve on-the-job training, and FDOT, along with many of the industry partners in attendance, will be hiring on-site during the event. Some positions offered by FDOT require job seekers to pre-register in order to become eligible candidates, which can be completed ahead of the event at RoadToYourFuture.com.

“Job seekers can connect with Florida’s top transportation companies and explore rewarding careers right here in the Tampa area. We’re excited to share the variety of transportation professions available and open new opportunities for our local communities,” said Justin Hall, District Seven Secretary. “Our goal is to build a talented workforce to drive progress and economic development.
