Dade County, FL – On Wednesday, October 1, at approximately 5:15 PM, on CR-471 north of Main Line Road, a Jeep Wrangler driven by a 55-year-old woman from Plant City, traveling southbound, entered the northbound lane and collided with a trailer towed by a tractor-trailer driven by a 57-year-old man from Lakeland. The Jeep Wrangler overturned, ejecting the driver, who was transported to a hospital and later died from injuries. The tractor-trailer veered onto the shoulder and struck a tree.
The roadway was closed for several hours while authorities investigated. Nothing further at this time.
