Clearwater, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol reported that on July 13, 2025, at approximately 9:40 PM, a collision occurred on 58th Avenue North west of 46th Way North.
A Toyota Tacoma, driven by a 52-year-old Clearwater man, was traveling westbound. An electric bike, operated by a 34-year-old Bonita Springs man, was traveling eastbound. The electric bike crossed the centerline and collided with the Toyota Tacoma. The bike operator was transported to an area hospital, where he later died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident, and no further details regarding the cause of the centerline crossing or additional circumstances have been released at this time.
