FORT MEADE, FL — CSX Corporation has designated the Fort Meade Rail Ready Industrial site in Fort Meade, as a Silver-level location in its CSX Select Site program
The designation is part of a broader announcement in which CSX added 21 rail-served properties across 10 states to the program. Sites are evaluated and assigned gold, silver, or bronze rankings based on a wide range of characteristics tied to industrial readiness and development potential.
CSX officials said the Select Site program connects companies looking to expand with properties that are prepared for development and supported by rail infrastructure. The company worked with more than 30 communities to identify and evaluate candidate locations. Of the more than 1,110 sites served across its network, approximately six percent receive Select Site designation.

Each CSX Select Site highlights the power of preparation and partnership,” said Kellen Riley, CSX Senior Director of Industrial Development. “These sites give manufacturers confidence to move forward while helping communities translate readiness into real economic growth and job creation.”
CSX, headquartered in Jacksonville, provides rail, intermodal, and transload services across the eastern United States, linking major population centers, ports, and short-line railroads.
