Crystal River, FL – On June 14, 2025, Citrus County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at a motorhome located at 130 S. Suncoast Blvd, resulting in the arrest of Valerie Nipper Daniels and Traci Dawn Daniels. The arrests followed a weeks-long investigation into suspected methamphetamine trafficking at the residence.

On June 13, a traffic stop was conducted due to a traffic violation. A CCSO K9 alerted to narcotics, leading to a vehicle search that uncovered 116.2 grams of methamphetamine. The vehicle was linked to the motorhome, prompting SIU detectives to obtain a search warrant.

During the early morning of June 14, detectives executed the warrant. After the occupants initially refused to open the door, they complied when detectives attempted forced entry. A search of the motorhome revealed 1,234.7 grams of methamphetamine, primarily in the bedroom closet, bringing the total seized to 1,350.9 grams (2.98 pounds), with an estimated street value of $17,000.

Deputies also found four firearms: a Taurus 9mm handgun, a Smith & Wesson .38 special, a Ruger .22 revolver, and a Hi-Point 9mm handgun. One firearm was reported stolen from Marion County. Both women, prohibited from possessing firearms due to prior felony convictions, have extensive criminal records.
