The City of Lakeland will host its second annual Polar Plunge at Simpson Park Pool on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The free event invites participants ages 12 and older to take a plunge into the chilly pool waters. Organizers describe it as an opportunity for thrill-seekers to challenge themselves and help build a new local tradition.
“We’re excited to bring the Polar Plunge to Simpson Park Pool,” said Recreation Manager Mike Marotz. “This is a great opportunity to challenge yourself, take an icy dip, and earn some serious bragging rights. Plus, we’ll have warm drinks and fun giveaways to keep the energy high!”
