City of Kissimmee Distributes Grants to Small Businesses

Kissimmee, FL- Monday, November 24 — The City of Kissimmee has distributed grant checks to recipients of the Business Boost 2.0 (BB2) program, which is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act. The program provides financial assistance to small businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

As of November 2025:

  • 21 businesses have received grants totaling $255,000.
  • 12 additional businesses have been approved for grants totaling $150,000, with funds to be disbursed soon.
  • 188 applications have been submitted.

Grants range from $5,000 to $20,000 per business, depending on business size. Funds may be used for operational costs and employee retention.

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Business location within Kissimmee city limits
  • Establishment prior to March 11, 2021
  • Active Kissimmee Business Tax Receipt
  • Demonstrated financial hardship between March 1, 2020, and December 30, 2024
