Orange County, FL. — On September 17, 2025, at 11:32 PM, a fatal crash occurred on State Road 50 (Colonial Drive) at the intersection of St. Catherine Avenue. A 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage, driven by an 18-year-old female from Titusville, was traveling eastbound in the inside lane. A 20-year-old male bicyclist from Christmas, Florida, was also traveling eastbound in the same lane ahead of the vehicle.
The bicyclist had no lighting, reflectors, or reflective clothing. The front of the vehicle struck the rear of the bicycle. The bicyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was not injured and remained at the scene.
A 17-year-old female passenger from Titusville in the vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported to Parrish Medical Center. The driver and passenger were wearing seatbelts. The bicyclist was not wearing a helmet. Next of kin for the deceased was notified.
The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
