DELTONA, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol arrested Lindsey Brooke Isaacs, 23, of Ocala, was arrested on April 17, 2026, and booked into the Volusia County Jail in connection with a multi-vehicle crash on eastbound Interstate 4 that left three people dead and one seriously injured.
Isaacs faces the following charges:
- 3 counts of Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving Death
- 3 counts of Vehicular Homicide
- 1 count of Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving Serious Bodily Injury
- 1 count of Reckless Driving Causing Serious Bodily Injury
The crash occurred on October 4, 2025, at approximately 9:55 p.m. at mile marker 108 on I-4 eastbound, east of Debary Avenue.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 2025 Dodge Durango driven by Isaacs changed lanes from the center lane into the inside lane directly into the path of a 2013 Ford Focus. The Durango struck the Focus, initiating a chain-reaction crash.
The impact caused the Ford Focus to leave the roadway, strike a guardrail, and re-enter the eastbound lanes, where it collided with a 2020 Honda Pilot. A 2001 Suzuki motorcycle was also involved in the chain reaction.
According to FHP, the 47-year-old female Ford Focus driver from Deltona sustained serious injuries (wearing seatbelt). The 54-year-old male motorcycle rider from Deltona was pronounced dead at the scene (wearing helmet). The 59-year-old male Honda Pilot driver and 60-year-old female passenger, both from Palm Coast, were also pronounced dead at the scene (both wearing seatbelts).
The Dodge Durango fled the scene after the crash. It was later located unoccupied in a Flagler County parking lot with damage consistent with the collision. The investigation continues.
