Traveling to Orlando International Airport Tonight?

ORLANDO, FL – As of 6:52 PM EDT on Saturday, June 7, 2025, travelers heading to Orlando International Airport (MCO) should be aware of an ongoing water system outage.

The issue, first reported at 4:00 PM, has affected restrooms and water fountains in the pre-security areas of Terminals A and B, though Terminal C remains unaffected. Restrooms are available at the gate areas, and water service has been partially restored in Terminal A, with efforts ongoing for Terminal B.

The outage, linked to aging infrastructure—a concern noted in a 2023 Journal of Environmental Engineering study affecting 15% of U.S. airports—has sparked passenger complaints, including post-security restroom issues not initially addressed.

MCO officials are providing wayfinding assistance, and unaffected areas like restaurants and the food court, served by a separate water line, continue to operate normally. Travelers are advised to plan accordingly and check for updates as the airport works to resolve the situation.
