— Initial Report —

Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) continues its search for Caden Rex Speight, a juvenile reported missing and believed to be endangered. The search involves MCSO detectives, Aviation Unit, Field Force Unit, and Mounted Unit. The investigation began following a shooting reported at approximately 4:10 p.m. on September 25, 2025, in the 12800 block of SW Highway 484, Ocala, Florida, coinciding with Caden’s disappearance.

Initial reports suggested Caden may have been taken by four Hispanic men in a light-colored van. However, evidence collected by MCSO detectives does not support this claim. Instead, it is believed Caden may have left the location on a black bicycle, carrying a red and grey tent purchased at Walmart on SW 19th Avenue Road, Ocala, prior to the incident.

MCSO is urging anyone who sees a male matching Caden’s description, accompanied by a dark-colored mountain bike and a tent, to contact 911 immediately.
