This incident was first reported by PulsePoint and Patrol Facebook page. On July 22, 2025, at approximately 11:55 PM, Lakeland Police Department and Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded to a FLOCK alert identifying a stolen Toyota Tundra in Polk County.
LPD initiated a pursuit of the vehicle, which exited Lakeland city limits, prompting FHP to take over. Troopers pursued the Tundra along US-92 and local roads. Polk County Sheriff’s Office aviation support was requested, and multiple LPD officers and PCSO deputies responded to the area. FHP also provided support.

At approximately 12:10 AM on July 23, 2025, the Tundra, traveling west on Fletcher Avenue toward State Road 659 (Combee Road), began to lose control while turning south onto Combee, FHP made contact with the vehicle at low speed, causing the Tundra to overturn, ending the pursuit.
LPD and PCSO extracted and secured the driver, Michael Ray Miller (DOB: 9/11/1977), and a passenger. EMS evaluated both individuals before their transport to Polk County Jail. LPD is handling the recovery of the stolen Tundra. Both agencies will file charges. Nothing further at this time.
