The victim has been identified as Mario Narvaez-Narvaez (DOB 1/19/1981) of Largo.
Initial Report
Clearwater, FL – Monday, June 17 – Clearwater Police and Fire Rescue responded to a water-rescue call at 6:09 p.m. on Sand Key, just north of the Clearwater Sailing Center on the Intracoastal Waterway.
An adult male was pulled from the water by bystanders who initiated CPR. Firefighters continued lifesaving efforts upon arrival. The man was transported to Morton Plant Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries but later succumbed to his injuries. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.
