25-Year-Old Kissimmee Man Killed After Crashing Into Parked Truck

OVIEDO, FL – A 25-year-old Kissimmee man was killed early Friday morning (July 7) after his sedan crashed into a parked construction vehicle on State Road 417 in Seminole County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 12:43 a.m. on northbound State Road 417 near mile marker 39, just north of Aloma Avenue.

Troopers said the man was driving a 2022 Acura ILX northbound in the outside lane when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle drifted into an active construction zone and struck the rear of a 2024 Ford F-650 construction drill truck. The truck was parked within a closed lane as part of an active work zone.

The Acura driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been notified. The driver of the construction truck was not injured. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
