Downtown Kissimmee Approves $76K Grant for Historic Building Redevelopment

KISSIMMEE, FL – Downtown Kissimmee Community Redevelopment Agency (DKCRA) has approved a $76,000 Pioneer Project Incentive Program (PPIP) grant to support the redevelopment of the historic building at 30 Broadway in Downtown Kissimmee.

The former bank building will be transformed into Nosso Quintal Brazilian Bar & Grill, a 3,020-square-foot restaurant operated by Souza & Martins Savory Bites.

The project includes major upgrades to the building’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life-safety systems while preserving its historic concrete bank vault. City officials say the new restaurant is expected to bring a unique dining experience to downtown, host monthly public events, increase foot traffic, and create an estimated 25 to 40 full-time and part-time jobs.

The Pioneer Project Incentive Program provides grants of up to 10% of eligible construction costs. The project qualified based on $760,000 in eligible improvements, resulting in the $76,000 reimbursement grant. Funding will be issued after construction is complete, a Certificate of Occupancy is received, and all eligible expenses are verified.

City officials say the project will expand dining options, celebrate cultural diversity, and continue the revitalization of Downtown Kissimmee.
