KISSIMMEE, FL. — Detectives with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit arrested a Kissimmee man following an investigation initiated by a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
The investigation began after the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office was notified of an individual allegedly possessing child sexual abuse material. Detectives identified the suspect as Steven Joseph Nickles.
On June 4, 2026, ICAC detectives executed a residential search warrant at a home in the Whispering Oaks neighborhood of Kissimmee. During the search, investigators located evidence that Nickles possessed files containing child sexual abuse material and files depicting animal sex acts.

As a result of the investigation, Nickles was charged with:
- 16 counts of Possession of Child Pornography
- 14 counts of Possession of Image/Video of an Animal Sex Act
- 1 count of Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device
Nickles was arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail with no bond.
Investigators stated that there is currently no evidence indicating Nickles met with any minors in person. The investigation remains ongoing.
