Tampa Fire Rescue to Host Free Annual Open House

TAMPA, FL – April 10, 2026 — Tampa Fire Rescue invites the community to its Annual Open House on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will take place at Station 1 (808 E. Zack St.) and across the street at the Tampa Firefighters Museum (720 E. Zack St.), giving visitors a chance to experience both an active fire station and a piece of Tampa’s fire service history.

Residents and visitors can meet firefighters and Search & Rescue K-9s, explore fire apparatus and equipment, and watch live demonstrations that highlight the work Tampa Fire Rescue crews do every day. The event will also feature hands-on activities for kids, including bounce houses from Rockin’ Bouncies, a junior Firefighter obstacle course, and the all-new Downtown Safety District in the Tampa Firefighters Museum. There will also be educational demonstrations for families to practice using fire extinguishers and CPR.

“This is one of our favorite ways to connect with the community,” said Fire Chief Barbara Tripp. “It gives families an opportunity to meet the men and women who serve them, ask questions, and see firsthand how we prepare to respond when it matters most.”

The Annual Open House is free and open to the public. Families are encouraged to attend and learn more about fire safety, emergency preparedness, and the services Tampa Fire Rescue provides throughout the city.
