Polk City Arts & Health Week Offers Complimentary Makeovers for 25 Cancer Survivors and Caregivers

Lakeland, FL – On November 2, 2025, Breaking The Chains Foundation, in partnership with The Well and Watson Clinic, will host a Power Crew makeover event for up to 25 cancer survivors and caregivers aged 13 and older. The event, part of Polk Arts & Health Week, will take place from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at The Well, located at 114 E. Parker St., Lakeland, FL 33801.

Participants will receive a complete makeover, hair styling, and a professional photo shoot aimed at helping them reclaim their sense of beauty, power, and worth. Applicants must be able to participate in the four-hour event and should apply by October 31, 2025, at

No walk-ins will be admitted.

The initiative, led by Big C New Me and cancer survivor Amy Hart, addresses the physical and emotional challenges faced by cancer survivors, such as hair loss, scarring, body changes, depression, and emotional distress. With approximately 14.5 million cancer survivors in the U.S., events like Power Crew provide a safe space to connect with local support resources.
