Hudson, FL — A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of New York Avenue and US-19 resulted in one fatality and two injuries.
According to officials, Vehicle 1, an Infiniti M35 driven by an 80-year-old woman from Hudson, was traveling westbound on New York Avenue. Vehicle 2, a Honda CBR900 motorcycle operated by a 33-year-old man from Port Richey, was traveling eastbound on the same road.
At the intersection with US-19, the Infiniti made a left turn into the path of the oncoming motorcycle. The motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the Infiniti.
The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died from injuries sustained in the crash. A 32-year-old woman from New Port Richey, who was a passenger on the motorcycle, suffered serious injuries and was also transported to a hospital.
The driver of the Infiniti sustained minor injuries. An investigation is ongoing.
