Orange County, FL – September 10, 2025 — A deputy with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Ethan Alter of Winter Springs on Wednesday morning for driving 134 mph in a 60 mph zone on State Road 408.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:25 a.m. near Semoran Boulevard & 408. The deputy was conducting traffic enforcement when a white vehicle approached in the rearview mirror, changing lanes rapidly and accelerating.
The deputy followed the vehicle after it passed and recorded speeds reaching 134 mph in the 60 mph zone.
The traffic stop took place between Goldenrod Road and Chickasaw Trail, where the deputy identified the driver as Ethan Alter.

Alter was charged with excessive speeding under Florida’s Super Speeder law, which took effect on July 1 and applies criminal penalties to drivers exceeding 100 mph or going 50 mph or more over the posted limit.
