Lakeland, FL – Saturday, September 27, at approximately 8:46 AM, a fatal collision occurred on South Florida Avenue north of Shepherd Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A 71-year-old woman from Seffner, driving a Nissan Rogue, was traveling southbound and turned left into the path of a northbound Yamaha motorcycle operated by a 24-year-old man from Lakeland. The motorcycle struck the Nissan Rogue.
The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. Eye In The Sky News extends its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased.
