14-Year-Old Arrested for Shooting 13-Year-Old FriendOn Saturday, April 12, shortly after 11 p.m., Markus Carr, age 14, was sitting in a vehicle at 2421 11th St. S., with 13-year-old Jaden Hill. Carr pointed a gun while Hill recorded him on a cell phone. Carr fired the handgun, shooting Hill.
Hill was transported to the hospital but died of his injuries.Initially, Carr told officers Hill was shot in a drive-by shooting, but through the investigation, detectives determined that didn’t happen. Carr was arrested and charged with 2nd-degree murder.
Detectives are still working to determine where the gun came from and whether it was stolen.Report 2025-012826
