Fatal Hit-and-Run: 31-Year-Old Man in Wheelchair Killed in Osceola County Collision

UPDATE: FHP Traffic Homicide Investigators have located V2 and person of interest. This crash remains an active investigation.

Osceola County, FL – On Thursday, October 17, 2025, at approximately 7:03 AM, a fatal crash occurred at the intersection of U.S. 441 (Orange Blossom Trail) and Hilda Street in Osceola County, Florida.

A 31-year-old male pedestrian from Muscatine, Iowa, using a wheelchair, was traveling west across U.S. 441 outside a marked crosswalk. He was struck by three vehicles: a 2012 Kia Rio driven by a 23-year-old male from Kissimmee, Florida, a possibly silver Lexus sedan, and a 2012 Ford Taurus driven by a 42-year-old male from Kissimmee, Florida.

The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. The drivers of the Kia Rio and Ford Taurus remained at the scene and reported no injuries. The driver of the Lexus sedan fled the scene. The Lexus may have undercarriage damage. The crash is under investigation by Trooper Ochoa and Corporal Rodriguez of the Florida Highway Patrol.
