PLANT CITY, FL — Plant City police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured late Monday night at a Taco Bell on North County Line Road.
The Plant City Police Department said officers received a 911 call at approximately 11:54 p.m. on August 31 reporting a shooting at the Taco Bell located at 371 N. County Line Road. As officers responded, they learned that an individual suffering from injuries consistent with a gunshot wound had already been transported to a local hospital.
Police said a second 911 call was later received from that individual, who indicated they were involved in the incident at the Taco Bell. Officers met with the person without incident, and police said they are cooperating with the investigation.
Authorities said there is currently no threat to the community. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
