Haines City Firefighters, Red Cross Install 98 Smoke Alarms, Protecting 75 Mobile Home Residents


HAINES CITY, FL — The Haines City Fire Department partnered with the American Red Cross to enhance home safety at Haines City Mobile Home Park through a smoke alarm installation initiative. Through coordination between the Haines City Fire Department and the park manager, residents who wished to participate were identified in advance and signed up to take part in the free initiative.

During the event, firefighters and volunteers installed 98 smoke alarms in 47 homes, providing added protection for 75 residents.

Working together, HCFD and the American Red Cross helped ensure participating households have working smoke alarms—one of the most effective tools for preventing fire-related injuriesand fatalities. The Haines City Fire Department is proud to collaborate with the American Red Cross and community partners to strengthen home safety and help residents be better prepared in the event of a fire.
